Recommend me a set of MMA gloves

I only own Muay Thai gloves right now, but I'm going to need an MMA set once I get to Germany and everything is cheaper in 'Murica. What a good first pair of MMA gloves that won't break the bank?

Well if I order them from there they will most likely arrive after I leave. I ship out on September 4th.

What exactly are you looking for in your gloves?

Even cheap pairs tend to hack it out for a while, if you're looking for longevity. I've never spent more than $30-35 on a pair of gloves. If you just need a pair of gloves to do some casual sparring or bagwork, just grab a pair at Dicks or Walmart and beat the breaks off those bad boys.

Do you have any experience with Combat Sports or Everlast brand gloves? Those are the only ones sold by Dick's with the exception of the UFC branded gear which I am assuming is over-priced ****.

The little gloves I just bought, the 16s I've had for about 2 years.

I'll take that as an endorsement. Everlast it is. Is there a specific set that you would recommend?

Hmmmm....I don't see the pair I bought just a couple weeks ago on their site lol. If you have the ability, just go to the store and see what their options are. Try some different style on and see what is more comfortable/suitable to you. If you are going to be sparring with headshots with them, you may want to look into getting some with that extra Moby Dick-ish padding on the knuckles.

Yeah Everlasts are great, I first used them with my 16oz boxing gloves and they were great, I got a pair of 8oz mma ones too to train in when doing BBJ drills as a striking opponent, work great, you can still get a nice grip and swing some leather!

oh jesus, don't buy everlast unless it's their pro line (dick's does NOT sell the pro line)

    get combat sports gloves.
