My son's team was down 15 points in their pee wee championship game, they won.

Wrong it was an amateur fight, no one had any sort of "job" to do in that ring other than have fun.
Disagree 100%. He can feel and quit anyway he wants, but his heart is no more in the right place than the fighter who KOs the guy, makes him Tap out or even wants to keep wining to go pro. All three different ways are also the right attitude for amateur sports.
heart was in the right place and the right attitude to have when participating in amateur sports.
Job, task, role, whatever. It's not up to him if the other guy has had enough, if he felt sorry for the guy and quit for him, he's in the wrong game.

Amateur flyweight Mike Pantangco squares off with the walking mountain, Delta Jackson, in the back alley behind Harpo's Sports Grill in Boulder, Colorado.
Delta Jackson: I really want to thank you for taking this fight. I put a lot of time and effort into my training. Days like this are when all my hard work pays off.
Mike Pantangco: You're welcome, friend.
As Jackson extends his bearlike hand for his minuscule foe to shake, Pantangco unexpectedly lets loose on him with a flurry of open-handed slaps. Before the bronze behemoth can respond, the Latino MMA fighter taps the ground with his hand and proceeds to casually walk away.
Delta Jackson: Yo, what the **** was that?
Mike Pantangco: Congratulations, you won!
Jackson is flabbergasted.
Delta Jackson: What?
Mike Pantangco: There's no reason for me to keep up this beating. We aren't getting paid, after all. You fought pretty tough, big fella!
Jackson is at a loss for words. Pantangco ruffels the imaginary hair on his opponent's bald scalp before continuing to make his exit.
Before he can even leave the alley, however, the ebon dreadnought blindsides the Latino and pins his back to the dirt with the force of a planet.
Delta Jackson: Alright, I accept the victory you've granted me. In return, I give you... An immediate rematch! HAHAHAHA!!!
Mike Pantangco: No! No!
Pantangco's chest compresses from the weight. He dies a week later from starvation.
Yeah, it's an amateur fight. Not pro. And he cheated his opponent out of a fight that he trained for. He cheated him out of the experience of fighting and seeing it through to the end.
His opponent may have gotten his ass stomped while managing to go the distance and walking away with more confidence in his chin than he ever had before. Or he could've gotten knocked out and walked away with the motivation to train harder to overcome his weaknesses. Instead he fucked his opponent out of the full fight experience.
That is how I got my loss.

The full fight.
Yeah winning but not completely one sided.
Hmmm more arrogance.
What did he think was happening? I expected a complete and utter beatdown, but all I see is a guy out matched, but actively fighting back. What am I missing?
