There is a little (like 125er or 135er) Japanese dude who trains with Kid Yamamoto who straight karate punched the crap out of some dude in the UFC last year. I don't remember his name but he wore silver shorts.

I don't follow sports much, but the white guy had a 5-9 record compared to the Filipino Dr.'s 3-0. Doesn't the white guy have a pretty lackluster record? Or is that normal for fights at this level?

    **** monkey kung fu.

In my own personal fantasy, the Eight Drunken Immortals dominate all of UFC.

Yes, it's pretty lackluster. And truth be told he didn't seem to mount much of an offense at all. But even so, that Angelito dude moved really well.

You guys think 40 is old, LOL !

The good doctor moved pretty darned well. However, if the other guy could have held on a little longer, the doc would have gassed. Even 40 is old cardio wise.

Do I think 40 is old? No.

Do I think 49 is old for a professional combat sport athlete? Why yes, I do.

His gas tank looked pretty good to me. Was throwing a lot of shots and not obviously fading. Besides, I don't think cardio is the biggest issue with age.

I think you loose reaction time and the ability to recover. And therefore train for a gazilian hours.

    Cardio shouldn't be a problem.

Wow, just saw that thread for the first time... I guess it was before my time when it was first posted here. Thanks for the link.

So a monkey kung fu guy actually made it into the cage...

And it went almost exactly like one would expect. But still, gotta give him props for stepping up and trying. If I wasn't such a lazy **** I'd google him and see if there was any kind of post fight interview (later, not the one right after) were he assessed his training and/or style at all. That would be interesting.

And next I want to see a ninjer in the cage. And not that Toshindo guy who does Muay Thai and BJJ and says he's a ninjer, he clearly doesn't have t3h r3al, but an honest to god MAP posting, kata loving, Hatsumi fearing, black gi'd ninjer with his judo chops to the arms and crappy front kicks. That's what I wanna see!
