Interesting it is just a reverse Sangaku the Coen's brought it to the US in the early 1990's Bobby Burland used to kill everyone with it. Pretty cool!

"Hey, I'll lead with a right overhand and follow up with a left hook repeatedly throughout the fight! Occasionally I'll start with a half assed left jab, THEN go into the right-left that I'm always clearly trying to set up. Its the perfect plan!" -Glover Teixeira.

The main event wasn't too exciting (at this point I just assume Jones is going to disassemble anyone who isn't Gustafsson) but dang that Johnson vs Davis. Rumble looked impressive, just did whatever he wanted to Davis. I am impressed Davis wasn't put away with some of the power shots Johnson got in. It reminded me of Overeem against Mir: maybe not an impressive knockout, but certainly a calm, systematic, technical and very one-sided beat down.

I eventually saw it last night at the 3rd airing. I did get up when it was broadcast from 3AM but went back to bed when I realised it was going to be 5AM before it finished. The repeat was almost as late.....

Jones won everything and has dangerous elbows. He's able to do everything and it was impressive considering Texeira is a BJJ 2nd Degree BB, yet elected not to try too hard to take it to the mat but then I think that this was a recognition on his part that Jones would not necessarily be at a disadvantage on the deck. It also be very hard to take him down considering the easy control that Jones was demonstrating.

The only thing that irked me was Joe Rogan's constant references to "John". Hardly the mark of an impartial commentator.

(Note his sly use of the "Curly Counter" on his defensive hand!)
