The mountain storm kick doesn't sound like nothing more than a variation of the Thai round house kick. As a matter of fact, if you get the Duke Roufus MT tapes he shows a round house kick variation--created by the dutch--that applies the same body mechanics. The mountain storm kick seems like a thai roundhouse kick, except it is thrown in a downward cutting motion instead of in a straight blast through -

I though Panatukuan was Phillipino kick boxing
...and interestingly enough my friends mother who lived in the phillipines
all her life had never heard of Arnis or Escrima or anything like that and apparently neither had any of my friends large extended family living in the Phillipines. There were however many popular Aikido dojos nearby...Secret moves such as hitting a thing with your hand and hitting a thing with your leg have been stolen and degenerated by arts like karate, boxing, muay-thai, Kung-fu, and basketball. -Epicurious
I for one welcome our new Ninja overlords.

I figure fighting a group of chunners would be like water torture, its not the force as such, just the constant trickle of chain punches wearing down your sanity. -The Juggernoob -

I dont know why ur friends mother never heard of ARNIS / KALI / ESKRIMA but Bruce Lee , Steven Seagal , Marc Dacascus , Chuck Norris etc had prior experience or a chance to train with this Visayan Art of stickfighting with a FIlipino stickfighter both back home or in the US .
I dont know how to upload clips in here but if anyone can show me how to , I can upload clips of No hold barred stick fighting , u can clearly see heads busted dislocated shoulders , etc aka the UFC or something but with kamagong's(stick) -
