    I know I have shown this video many times before but anytime we talk about knives or the 21 foot rule I think it bears viewing.



    It seems to me the "rule" makes good sense but as with most things in dynamic situations its going to be more of a guide line than a hard and fast law to be obeyed at all times.

    Depends on your draw or whether you have your gun out already. I've seen police video of a cop jumping back and gunning down a surprise knife attacker.

    Even at 24" Adam is still dead Jamie may be joining him but that doesn't mean much.
    On top of that their is no element of surprise Adam knows that Jamie is going to be coming. Just goes to show that gun vs knife in short range may not be the best bet.

    I am not sure if I agree with the idea of going empty hand vs the knife mind you.
