Making clean eating "fun"
We all know how important clean eating is. We also know that it can get kinda boring after awhile. Eating meat and vegetables without any sugary sauces day after day after day can get really tiresome. So how do you spice it up? I got a pair of Japanese cookbooks in the mail, and that's helping. I also try to rotate the types of meats and vegetables that I eat.
So what do you guys do to make clean eating less boring? Any recipes or tips?

A favorit of mine is
1-2 frozen bananas
a small amount of peanut butter(good peanut butter without a bunch of extra **** in it)
Pure dark chocolate cocoa
Almond milk once again check for sugars. If the fiber is more than the sugar your gold
Throw that in a blender

Clean Eating Tuna Salad
(Makes approximately 8 servings)
3 cans water-packed tuna
1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 carrot – grated
1/2 teaspoon dried dill
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 small tomato
1/4 teaspoon dijon mustard
1/2 a small white onion
1 hard boiled egg
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon honey (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl and serve.

One more favorite I have to do it with cheese since me and dairy don't mix but its damn good. Be careful with tomato sauce though some have crazy high amounts of sugar added.
24 medium to large white mushrooms
1/4 large red bell pepper – chopped fine
1/4 large green bell pepper – chopped fine
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2/3 cup cooked turkey meat (or clean eating sausage – chopped)
Stems from your mushrooms – chopped fine
4 egg whites
1/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup tomato sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Clean mushrooms and gently remove the stems. Set stems aside.
Mix all ingredients (except mushroom caps) in a large mixing bowl.
Place your mushroom caps on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Using a small spoon, gently scoop your filling into your mushroom caps.
Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until your mushrooms have a nice golden brown appearance.
Serve immediately. They are best when they are right out of the oven.

I go the other way and am super lazy.
I buy a tub of salad and a pack of salmon. And just cut up the salmon and chuck it in the tub.
Throw the whole thing out.

I got a low carb cook book last summer. A lot of it is crap, but the dessert chapter is damned good.
They have a low carb chocolate chip cookie recipe thats not too bad at all. You grind up some almonds for the base, use un-sweetened chocolate chips, protein powder, ground flax seed, and splenda. Yes its an artificial sweetener, if you dont like it kiss my ass or give me a damned good reason why i should hate it.
Its a pretty good cookie for having zero sugar in it. Loaded with fiber, omega 3, and protein. Not overly cheap to make though...
Also, stir fry chicken, mixed veggies, with peanut oil, soy sauce, and cooking wine. The veggies take on the flavour of the soy sauce/peanut oil/ cooking wine and goes great with rice or just on its own. I find a carrot/cauliflower/broccoli mix works good.

One lunch I like to make when I am at home, is (nitrite-free) bacon and eggs with whatever assorted vegetables that I have on hand grilled and thrown in to the eggs. . It's quick and easy, and I think it tastes pretty good.

You can never go wrong by adding flavor to things with homemade salsas and chutneys. You make it at home you can keep out a lot of the crap they put in store bought stuff.
