    lets have fun with dumbells

    So, just for fun and variety, I'm making a card workout routine to use with dumb-bells. So far the four exercises I picked are these:

    1) Turkish get-up, L and R
    2) Half-squat with swing (like a kettle-bell swing)
    3) Military press
    4) Windmills L and R, except the hand that is normally empty would hold the bell instead, and on going up you would swing and rotate behind.


    So, you guys have any ideas of your own?

    Why half-squat? Just full squat, even overhead squat. Also: dumbbell snatch, row, single leg dead lift. They are probable in that website already.

    Squat to press is a good one. My fave is turkish get-up which you already have. Farmer's walk is another good one.

    Dumbbell Oly lifts are pretty swell. I have lots of fun with one-arm power cleans, push presses, jerks, power snatches. Ross Enamait's Infinite Intensity goes over the options in that space.

    One-arm dumbbell rows occasionally make their way into my programming too, but you need quite heavy dumbbells.

    I've spent so many years carrying heavy things for work that I don't like the idea of farmer walks. It's an activity I should be getting paid to do lol.

    Bulgarian split squat!!! I dont have a squat rack and am training at home at the moment and they seem like a decent alternative.
