I used a 10/22 until I could shoot Junior Division when I used a Savage bolt action (don't remember exact make)

I suppose I should mention I first learned to shoot using an AK47 at the age of 8. My point?
I don't know what my point is other than it doesn't really matter what the gun is as long as the instruction is good.

I converted my Ruger 10-22 to a ZK-22. It's pretty much the definition of tacticool, but it's fun as hell to shoot, could easily be handled by a kid, and the ammo is dirt cheap:
For those who haven't seen this, what you're looking at is basically a standard 10-22 with a funny looking stock.
