I'm guessing the .ca in the op refers to canada... They have a new muay thai coach named Colton Bird as well, wonder if this is the same Colton Bird:
If yes on all of the above, btw, then I'd say the gym is definitely legit.

Non Martial Arts background?
if claims of LEO or LEO trainer, Military (DD-214 in the US), Private security...what you have dug up or they claimed.

I visited this school last summer for a few classes. I'm from Alberta. My wife's family lives in Langley. We went there for a jiu-jitsu vacation. :)
The instructor at the time was named Christian. He is a legit purple belt and a competent instructor. The classes were small and he gave me plenty of one-on-one attention. I believe they were affiliated with West Coast BJJ.
If the management has changed then I don't know anything about them now.
