Not the first time I've seen this but guess you're right. My knees occasionally make a load popping noise. If that ain't stopping me why should anything?

I am actually pretty stunned. That was the most unexpected way to end that fight AND Silva's career.

Time for adamantium implants for me. I mean, I thought it hurt when I micro fractured my fibula in hockey...

It was a good event overall and the Tate/Roussey fight was great stuff. But there was a definitely a sad tinge to the whole thing.

Had sort of a culling of the old folk vibe.

Leben's chin is not what it was, I think he's really gotta think about stopping for his own good. Josh Barnett was looking pretty raggedy too. He took a lot of unnecessary damage and was literally beaten senseless. And then obviously the Silva injury.

Really feel bad for the guy. It might not have made difference, but I wish the UFC had behaved more professionally and not set up an immediate rematch. I think Silva would've approached the fight more relaxed had he been treated like a regular fighter and been allowed to build his confidence working his way back up through a lesser opponent or two. It was also unfair to Chris Weidman who I think is still underrated by most fans.

Btw EmperorCesar, I don't think Bas' video applies in this case. It might be true, but it could also have just been the result of cumulative damage, a specific injury or just a fluke.

Come on, man. I'm not a big fan of immediate rematches in general but there's no way in hell Silva wasn't the #1 contender. There was nothing unprofessional about it.

Oh what, dominant champions have to get KO'd twice in a row now?

Vitor should've gotten this title fight.

I didn't like the immediate title rematch, either. It felt to me like an implication that Weidman's win didn't count. I'm not going to go out on a limb and say that it had anything to do with the way the match ended, but it sucks as a fan to see Silva's career end on a match that I wasn't really excited about seeing in the first place.

Bullshit. **** Vitor. Silva deserved the title shot because nobody was more likely to take the belt from the champion than him.

Seriously, if you guys want to bitch about title shots you should be bitching about Urijah Faber or Chael Sonnen or Miesha Tate or anybody other than Anderson Silva.
