I want to start learning MMA. I know it's not a review, but I am desperate for your opinion. I learned taekwondo for couple of years, and learned bjj for couple of weeks.
In my area, these are my options:
1)Grady's MMA Price: $120/ month
The facility is top notch.
I'm leaning towards this one, but the instructor is "6th degree black belt" in kempo karate..NorthEast Full Contact Kickboxing Champion of N.H. in 1982? seem pretty McDojoish...but
Tyrone Booze, a boxing champ is teaching boxing so may be worth it?
I can't post URL on here because I'm new, but search 'grady's mma' on youtube.. theres a video where the instructor fights a shaolin monk, and he looks like a fat turd.
2)American MMA price: $150/ month
Again, very nice facility. The instructor's suppose to be 3X world kickboxing champion, and member of Team USA. Couldn't verify the records, and other instructors are utter ****.
Pretty fucking skethy, asking me to put $120 down before the first class LMAO. But the price is cheapest of all of them.
Instructors are: 1 blackbelt bjj, and 6th degree blackbelt taekwondo...im tired of taekwondo
As you see, I need some fucking help guys <3 So which ones seem McDojo and which ones seem like a good place to train for MMA?

Welcome to Bullshido. Bend over.
I think this thread needs to be preserved for posterity. I haven't seen this much fail in a first review post since, well... ever.

Websites would help.

A) Where are you located? There may be people who can recommend some other options for you.
- Why are you bumping this shamelessly?
IV. They all could suck and they all could be great. One thing to check is if the gyms are producing successful fighters of their own, or just claiming to to teach MMA and having no idea what they are doing.

Tyrone is legit, but why the ban? This place needs posters like the OP. He'd have been fun to play with and some anal retentive type got rid of him... So sad.
