Sounds like Chinese to me, with "Way of the Ultimate Hand" being the most likely translation.

He claims it translates to "The Way of Ultimate Techniques". The primary reason I was asking is that I'm unfamiliar with do as part of a name for CMAs. I was under the impression that do was Japanese/Korean.

In Cantonese, it typically is Romanized as "do", and as "dao/tao" in Mandarin.

And I don't have any screaming problem with Shou as "technique" rather than "hand" - I'd say that's a common enough CMA concept. That said, it's an intensely lame style name.

So he got his "6th Dan" in the Tad Sun Pok system from a bunch of guys he never met who decided that his e-mail was impressive enough. No shocker there.

    EDIT: JPEG image.

Sadly, I can't find a web site for this Bhat guy or this International Fellowship of Martial Artists.

American Modern JuJitsu and American Modern Aikido are mail-order DVD programs from Master Velez Inc. (http://www.amj.iwarp.com/about.html). Yoder is listed on their web site as a member of their "Blackbelt Club" (http://www.amj.iwarp.com/custom4.html).

EDIT: This Master Velez is also the Vice President of the Dragon Shaolin Kempo Karate Association (http://www.dsskenpo.com/representatives.html) and the only e-mail contact for Shinka Ryu Ninjitsu (http://srn.iwarp.com/), both of which Yoder claims ranks from. Interesting.

    Yoder on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bobyoderskungfuacademy

Yoder's Valadez Kempo rank is most likely a "rank transfer": http://www.valadezkenpo.com/VKA%20Me...pplication.pdf

Yoder's 2nd Dan in "Yoshin Ryu Combat JuJitsu" comes from these guys: http://yrcacombatandreiki.weebly.com...-students.html

This may also be the source of his reiki and fitness trainer certifications.
