    Affordable Karate - Spokane, WA

Hey all you Spokanites! I know you're hiding on here.

Do any of you have some suggestions for some karate schools that are charging less than $100-150 a month? I'd like to dive back into the martial art pool, but those kinds of prices are simply too high.

    Thanks

Try out Judo. That's my suggestion. These guys are excellent and the price is right, as usual.

And, as I am sure BKR can confirm or deny better than me, the Pacific NW has a pretty good Judo competition scene. Or at least it seemed like it when I was in Boise. So there are lots of good people to learn from.

That's true, plus a number of quality schools to attend. I believe Spokane has two different Judo clubs.

Or if you'd rather hit people over the head with big sticks, there's kendo, too. Beginner class is $85 for 8 weeks.

Matt Hume's place is pretty close too, but prices might be in that range. Would be 100%worth it too.

This is also an excellent point, if the OP is interested in any sort of grappling/mma/kickboxing.
