    Wow.

There is one element between the movies and the comics that seems to be radically different no matter how you slice it: magic. In the comics, the Asgardians are straight up gods. In the movies they are portrayed as really, really advanced aliens more than anything else. I wonder how that element is going to play out as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to develop, considering the fact that Agent Sitwell casually mentioned Dr. Stephen Strange.
Everything is basically the same, but they call it technology and poo-poo the magic. Yet, they also call them "Gods" in the movies. You know, just like the comics say "gods" and call them basically aliens. Nope, not radically different, you've been out of comics at least 30 years. The comica play both sides of the middle. Marvel has also said, like early comics they are trying to avoid Magic as long as possible, because it introduces an easy caveat.

I knew people would say this, go read the early cap into he was basically Spiderman, with a shield, before they created the character.

    lol
This thread has really nerded-out and evolved into something of a three-headed monster.
Anyways, I am finally going to go see the movie tomorrow night and am looking forward to it. Personally, I think the Brubaker Captain America storylines are among the best written in the history of Marvel Comics. And I am not even a big fan of Cap..I think the last time I actively followed a Captain America storyline prior to the Winter Soldier was back in the days of Scourge (did anyone else like that ??).
I hope the movie is as good as people are claiming.
Also, just as a side-note, if you want to check out some early, lesser-known stories with the cosmic cube, check out back issues of Marvel Two-In-One.

My hardcopy Official Handbooks for the Marvel Universe say classic Cap is an Olympic level gymnast.

But NOW Chris Evans version of Cap does "Gymnastics & Parkour"!

Yep and the history of Parkour, depending on who you asks or believe, is full of former or trained gymnasts.

I distinctly remember Cap doing a lot pf parkour-like stuff when he was reintroduced in The Avengers in the early 60s.

As to Natasha being one of daredevil's woman.

I am very disappointed that the writers at Marvel allow her to have relations with a filthy lawyer when Cap is available. Perhaps they will not force her to date degenerates in the future!

Damn lawyers. Always picking up the hot chicks by flaunting their gigantic bank accounts and super acrobatics and ninja fighting skills.
