    Hell yeah! Hell no!
On a side note, some Tea Party lady recently told a radio interviewer that "The USA is not a democracy...it is a republic".

Would it matter if anyone informed her that both words mean exactly the same fucking thing, the former being Hellenic-based and the latter coming from Latin?

That was the second-dumbest thing I'd heard that week, right after somebody asking, just outside my workplace, "How can anybody run when they're wearing handcuffs?"

So, let's get a show of hands......

How many people think these shitheaps who don't have health insurance are going to actually pay this magic fine for being uninsured?

How do you geniuses expect that money will be collected? How will it flow back into the system to lower overall healthcare costs?

What are they going to do? Send them a bill that they can't collect on? Penalize them through the federal income tax system? Hahahahahahahaaa!! The poor don't pay taxes in the first place.

No, no, no. That's not how it works. It works like this.....the working man who keeps this country running has more taken from him as always. The poor continue to be leeches. That's how it always works and that's how it will work with Obamacare.

I know right? What's he ever done....other than Graduate Columbia and Harvard, teach constitutional law at Univ. Chicago, serve three terms as a state senator, one as a national one, and two terms as President of the United States?

The dumbest posters here, who have a few years experience, running a business- where you LOOK in someone's eyes, hire and fire, act as custodian and CEO, and still raise a family, deal with government red-tape, supply and demand...ad naseum...

This dude cannot lead. He is just a numbers guy bully. More votes you win.
For realz man, just cos he's a constitutional scholar, suddenly he thinks more votes win. What kind of math is that?
I am IN that business, and it is driving out the good Doc's. This POTUS is THEEE worst EVER.
After FDR, amirite? How dare they challenge the oligarchs. You'd think the majority of people want the US in the 21st century or something. He probably even believes in science.
Bottom line, people are not as accountable as they were and deep down inside I truly believe people want to work and feel good. Its too damn easy to quit nowadays. JMO
Most people do want to work and have their own. If you think people only become ill, homeless, or somehow unable to survive through things under their control, that's a sad story.

I'm sure if it were someone in your family that...say...gets very sick and is booted off their insurance or can't get on some, and faces withering away, and just hitting the ER to be stabilized when it's critical, you'd just say "be responsible for your cancer, let the HMO's have their profit, it's Amurka!!!!".

Wealth isn't some zero sum game. You should know that. Everyone does better when the most vulnerable are protected.

She would no doubt counter that Hellens knew nothing of democracy.

    lol

Once, on the school bus, my first week in America, someone honestly asked what language we spoke in England...was it French?

I was heavily culture shocked and everything was a bit weird, so I just answered politely. Even being around a lot of strange and ignorant people on and under the str33ts, I don't think I've heard it's match.

Because your earlier post was so 'red in tooth and claw' that the second phrase 'Social Darwinism' also came to Mind.

Hence my post at which you've taken umbrage. It also confirms you as Thin-Skinned.

Now, read the part about being 'too much of an Individualist rather than a Team Player' and see if you can work it out.

("Services No Longer Required" - would otherwise fit the bill).

Not a fantasy. No wand needed.
Just hard work and bridge building. It can be done. I had high hopes for Obama, only to be let down. Not happy with the other nuts either.

But hey it appears there is a lot of Kool-aid drinking going on all over the country, and as January 1 hits and those sweet increases in INsurancr premiums attack what very little people have in discretionary, (most none- most are going into debt each month- lets not forget unemployment) there will be some backlash.

If I am wrong, I win. If I am right, WE Lose. But the kool-aid at the Jones plantation is plentiful.

Our healthcare system has not been socialized. Its still a private healthcare system.

You sir are an idiot with all your leadship stupidity. The ACA is the compromise this was already hashed out much earlier. Its why the ACA is in fact NOT a socialised program. That debate has already happened and the ACA was passed. A small minority of freshmen congressmen who had NO as in 0 desire to debate about ACA got elected. They where the ones with 0 compromise, they where the ones that shut down the government to try and kill the ACA and they were the ones that held Bohner up from being able to put through a budget. They also did not come to the table to negotiate the debt ceiling. They where so uncompromising on ACA that they where willing to have the US government NOT pay its bills over it. This small group of people can not be worked with. They are the ones with the my way or the highway attitude.

The POTUS did work with the Senate you know the guys that actually put forth a bipartisan budget. One that mind you kept the spending levels at sequester level. The government in dead honored to pay its debts. So you know what he showed leadership he didn't flinch when the bullies on the hill played russian roulette with our economy.
Did I strike a nerve? Liar about being in business? Funny.

The ceiling debate is not over, just postponed. Have you seen your premiums increase and benefits decrease? What about the fees effective Jan 1, the 4.37%. Do you even have insurance? Are you on your spouses? I mean really you can't keep your head in the sand forever.

Also, some freshman? WTF? Who cares? They stood up for what they believed in? I agree with you about the 'my way or highway' and they can kiss my ass for that also....

For sure YOU don't own a business, and/or if you do you are getting government subsidy? and are beholding to them? You cannot see the forest for the trees, its just a magnificent tax scheme to milk the rich and give to the lazy-ass-EBT-Gimme-gimmes so they can get re-elected- AND SAY THEY INSURED EVERYONE. To think anything less is acting a well-confused.

As for taking care of those in need. I am ready to pay more so that abused, mentally challenged, medically or chronically ill people have help. Also those outed by recession. But when many are choosing to be unemployed as it pays more than working, come on, you don't think this is a problem. Get back to work!

So you come at me with 'hey, the government MUST pay its obligations', I buy you a beer and say yep, yep and more I agree with you- I SAY---This all could have been taken care of long ago, and don't feed me this Senate bipartisan Bullshit. Neither party wants to even consider the others ideas, THUS the only one with power to build IS the President. He has class divided long enough.

They are ALL jackasses and there WILL be hell to pay in 2014. HE is the Worst ever President and you can stick up for his wrap sheet of college accolades that's your right. Funny how you may have more experience in running a business that Mr. Obama.

Just because he can read and argue and sat in school for free while you and I worked our ass off, you tip your hat to the guy for his GED, PhD, JD, LLM and whatever the **** else he got from college.

I am not impressed, and where is he from...yep Illinois. Last worthy soul from there is on a penny.

Guess I know too many attorney's that have all that and some still can't think for themselves in the real world, so they end up at some insurance company on a nice 85k salary and happy, I am just not that impressed with attorney's, except mine of course.
