The State is the only customer you need... he is both paying you (the prison owner) and keeping the necessary amount of subjects in poverty. Rich people happily pay taxes to the state for keeping the poor imprisoned. These taxes go to your pocket.

    Perfect business.

    Bizarre.
I see that we have a POTUS, who has zero frigging experience in anything except collusion and campaigning, zero ability to speak to both sides, however apart, and an admin, cabinet that is embarrassing to people like myself.

The dumbest posters here, who have a few years experience, running a business- where you LOOK in someone's eyes, hire and fire, act as custodian and CEO, and still raise a family, deal with government red-tape, supply and demand...ad naseum...

This dude cannot lead. He is just a numbers guy bully. More votes you win.

Thats our system, I say repeal the 17th amendment, get this loser out of office, stay out of my pocket, and go the **** away. Allow the pipeline, ease up on regulations, and back off the individual mandate. The ACA IS a cluster ****. Was one and will be one. I am IN that business, and it is driving out the good Doc's. This POTUS is THEEE worst EVER. If only he could work about a month on some ranch/manufacturing plant/factory/refinery/cannery whatever...and live like all the rest of us, maybe that would open his eyes. Oh and quit making decisions off some stupid Poll of the week.

Bottom line, people are not as accountable as they were and deep down inside I truly believe people want to work and feel good. Its too damn easy to quit nowadays. JMO

How is the president allowing that, and how would you suggest he prevent it?
Prevent it? All he has to do is get in a room with the powers that be from both sides, nutjobs and all, and get them to agree to collaboration-Not concessions. To collaborate, one works towards a goal, concessions feel more like you are giving up something- which they are but, collaborate to move forward towards the good for all.

As for congress shutting down the gub...Sure, technically. This POTUS can, just like anyone could use the pulpit to build things, he has done nothing of the sort. As for the veterans. Put a vet in the White House, those monuments are open, tourism doesn't get dicked and neither do the vets. I am a military brat, so I fall on that side of things, also one of the dummies who sees a cop getting his ass beat, will stop and assist. So, I blame the leader EACH time. In government, In a dojo, on a football field, in the classroom. Its his fault ultimately. He sucks at building consensus. JMO

But you are correct. There is no point. Most of those that support the POTUS and his policies are unable to think for themselves. So yes. There is no point.

EVERYONE sucks a building consensus. You seem to have this fantasy idea that a President can just wave a magic wand and make everyone get along. It doesn't work that way.

The President is a partisan politician. He is elected on a partisan ticket and he has a partisan agenda. He compromises that agenda because opposition makes him compromise, not because he's a nice guy who wants to "build consensus". Tank is looking for something that doesn't exist.

WOW for someone that claims to be in the business you really do not have a grasp of what is going on. You sir are a liar you are not in the business you have made so many serious errors and statements that I can no longer suspend my disbelief.

Our healthcare system has not been socialized. Its still a private healthcare system.

You sir are an idiot with all your leadship stupidity. The ACA is the compromise this was already hashed out much earlier. Its why the ACA is in fact NOT a socialised program. That debate has already happened and the ACA was passed. A small minority of freshmen congressmen who had NO as in 0 desire to debate about ACA got elected. They where the ones with 0 compromise, they where the ones that shut down the government to try and kill the ACA and they were the ones that held Bohner up from being able to put through a budget. They also did not come to the table to negotiate the debt ceiling. They where so uncompromising on ACA that they where willing to have the US government NOT pay its bills over it. This small group of people can not be worked with. They are the ones with the my way or the highway attitude.

The POTUS did work with the Senate you know the guys that actually put forth a bipartisan budget. One that mind you kept the spending levels at sequester level. The government in dead honored to pay its debts. So you know what he showed leadership he didn't flinch when the bullies on the hill played russian roulette with our economy.
