I was not aware of the one drop rule, very interesting indeed.

    BKR gave me this link.
    http://blackhistory.com/content/63228/one-drop-rule

All you have to do is look at any application or survey to see it still exists for blacks. Heck, they are now starting to identify multiple latinos of mixed heritage options on these same documents.

Oh and look at the "Preponderance of Ancestry" paragraph to see the stupidity that exists in the black community.

Its really weird to me, I just kind of looked back at my life and relized that their are a lot more black people in it than I would have guessed. Heck it had slipped my mind earlier that I went to a magnet school my freshman year. I just don't really notice black people as being black. I think working theroy here, it is because the black people in my life have sharred my economic and social status and where not all that culturally disimilar as opposed to the majority around us mexicans and filapinos whom where more distinct.

Things are changing for the better. It is frustratingly slow, but it is happening.

It is, in fact, a very hopeful time. This nonsense should bolster the appeal of the middle.

Mandated private insurance was a Republican idea. Although I'm pretty certain some of the other parts and provisions weren't, it's a huge improvement over millions of uninsured children and also many adults. They should be commended.

Once people love it, you will see the GOP embrace it, and try to take credit back. Everyone can bask in the glory of not being backward by world standards.

You are welcome. Thanks for reminding me that race, once again, makes people completely illogical.

Someone should make a poll on how long this shutdown will last. My guess is mid November.
