Devil, I agree with a lot of what you've said in this forum, and some how you've managed to be one of the more reasonable voices in this thread.

But what about people who work hard, aren't lazy, and still can't hack it. The ball kick of life can be a mighty blow...

I spent 3 years trying to find a job I could support myself with, never got one.. I'm back in school now (only thanks to the GI Bill), living with my parents and just hoping that a degree will find me a job that I can afford life with. I'm doing alright, but if it weren't for the GI Bill and my family I'd be fucked. Well I wouldn't be totally fucked, because there's social programs that would keep me afloat...

I guess what I'm saying is I think there should be some sort of safety net for people on the bottom rung. There should certainly be an incentive for working, but I don't share the "**** 'em" attitude you have. You make it sound like people without work are just lazy, when that's not always the case. There's a lot more to unemployment than lazy people.

Maybe you US guys would get some **** done if your politics were not so full of doublespeak. Like for example extreme economic liberals using "liberal" as a swear word against moderate liberals. Seriously I can get that after all the cold war propaganda you have no idea what socialism means but having no understanding of ones own ideology is beyond retarded. The Tea Party is economically liberal. Liberals are right-wing not left-wing. There is simply no important left-wing political party in the US. It is moderate liberals against extreme liberals.

It is a total disgrace that there are only two major political parties that differ only marginally in ideology and they still cant work together. Not to speak of the fact that someone elected the batshit crazy Anarcho-Capitalists that are responsible for the shutdown.

The worst is, I have to care about your bullshit because it effects the whole world.

What country are you from, where politicians participate in no doublespeak and always work together? I'd like to move there.

So boo fucking who if your food and drugs get contaminated and inspections won't be done on polluters. Boo fucking who you can't go to NASAs website or the park. Or get your tax return or apply for a federally backed mortgage. Oh well those are not essential.
This would make sense to me if everyone else in the world wasn't saying that this is about Obamacare rather than a demonstration of minimalist government.

Sure, cos everyone knows there aren't any hard working poor people.

Stupid schools, roads, police, military (lol), Fire and ambulance/medical services, etc. If you can't afford the road that runs in front of your house, it shouldn't be there.

Stupid society, always propping its self up, and sustaining its existence with shared responsibilities. Why can't everyone just fend for themselves completely? Lazy Peasants.

Next they'll rail infrastructure, a unified nationally minted currency, science research, or health and safety standards in the workplace, food standards even. What is the world coming to when the poor aren't just allowed to starve to death in the parks, and be victimized by the landed gentry and business elite?

The society you're unwittingly pining for, Devil, is pre hunter-gatherer. You're stretching the very definition of society. That's a sad story. We're in an ever increasingly interdependent world, homie. Get right, or get left (pun intended on at least three or four levels).

Ben Stein is on Craig Ferguson right now saying all the same things I'm saying, and he's about as Republican as anyone in the world.

Them's the breaks, homie. Why the **** should money come out of my pocket to pay your way through hard times? It's not my fucking problem.

Does that mean nobody ever needs help? Nope. I'm all for helping people if I good and goddamn well feel like it. That's what charity is for. But mandatory charity isn't charity at all. It's robbery.

I'm disappointed. I expected bulldozers and tanks on the streets and confused conscripts pissing their pants before the bloodthirsty roaring crowd. You people can't do government shutdown right.

It doesn't matter if there are hard working poor people because working hard doesn't mean you deserve my fucking money if you fail. Fucking entitled ************. But, but, but I TRIED SO HARD!!!!! Fucking pussies, I swear.
