I'll get to the content of the article, later, but that little girl with th AR may be in the cutest picture I've seen this decade - and I have the two cutest little girls in the world as my progeny, so that's saying something.

Wow, this seems like a crazy super ban to me that (poorly) glosses over the bigger issues and I live in the UK.

Does beg the question that what are the Brazil cops going to do if they see a small child with a small gun? Shoot them?

Its sorta complicated by the fact that kids sometimes shoot people in Brazil.

Well yes, I know enough childen here got shot for pointing toy guns at cops hence why virtually every single one of them have an orange tip now.

Its not all of Brazil either its just the federal district but I first heard about this on the radio and they covered the fine stores would have to pay if they got caught selling toy guns to children I remember it being fairly steep.

The really funny thing here is Brazil doesn't have a right to bear arms yet they are not doing any sort of gun control measure no they are banning toy guns. Its pretty

It does sound like window dressing by Brazil to ignore the fact that they have damn all gun control and a serious crime issue. It's easy for politicians to come up with crap like this rather than address more fundamental issues.

I wonder if the huge poverty rate that forces their people to live in small metal shipping containers might have something to do with their crime rate.
