Chael Sonnen - The Voice of Reason, A VIP Pass to enlightenment

The Voice of Reason, A VIP pass to Enlightenment
    By Chael Sonnen

Has anybody read this book? I just read it in about a week and here are some of the highlights.

A foreword by Jesus Christ proclaiming how great a book this his and how great Sonnen is.

MMA fighters he rips on- "Cowboy" Cerrone for his ridiculous cowboy hat costume, Machida because he won't fight Silva, Anderson Silva because he Sonnen thinks hes a fake.

He also rips on the CA State Athletic Commission, President Obama, and every other martial art except wrestling.

The biggest surprise of the whole book was Sonnen's ranking of Top 10 walkout songs. He ranks "How Soon is Now" by the Smiths as the #1 walkout songs of all time.

Generally and easy read, full of Sonnen's ego centric distorted view of reality. Not so much about his life or upbringing, but who want to read that crap anyway, when you can read crazy ass rantings by a know it all with a really good takedown & ground and pound

Yes I've this book and just about every other book or biography by MMA fighters.

Yes I enjoy reading, and yea I enjoy MMA, so I read a lot of biographies. I think it was worth the $20 bucks I paid for the few hours it took to read it. Better value than some movies these days.

I read Forrest Griffin's Got Fight?, which thoroughly amused me. This seems like it's in the same vein, no?

    Sounds pretty funny.

The Smiths? Really? I think I'm starting to get where Sonen is comming from. I can actually respect his "dick head routine" a little more now knowing that it's partially theater.

Silva is totally faking it... lol

I think the his whole point is that many MMA fighters are self absorbed with their image and egos and that song embodies the vanity of many fighters. I'm not sure if this is a little tongue in cheek or what MMA fighter would have big enough balls to actually walk out with a "I Dont Give a F" attitude.

Sonnen should get Morrissey to teach him some moves, to counter the Silva-Seagal alliance.
