Kali/Escrima for Kids? Seattle/Bellevue or Renton Area

    Hello Again,

I have a coworker who wants to get her son into FMA as part of his heritage education as well as introduction to athletics. Unfortunately he's 6 yo. I was able to find Bellevue Martial Arts, but they don't train anyone under 10.

I found a school that teaches "American Karate-Escrima" style, but from what I read online, it doesn't seem to be what she is looking for in terms of tradition or learning "something cool" about his culture/heritage.

One of the things I thought about (And please correct me if I am wrong) would be the over zealous lawsuits prevent kids hitting eachother with sticks, or is it more that there just isn't a market for children and FMA?

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

This may be the only option until they are old enough to train elsewhere. If you would like to share their website address, might be easier to advise you once we take a look at it.
