And he's an elected official, believe it or not.
I can't find an article with the quote, but I heard him in an interview saying that fighters make racist and/or rape jokes. We've all seen it a million times, a guy wins a bout, takes the mike and starts yelling about Chinese people. Won't anyone think of the children?

It's because politicians never make racist and/or rape jokes, that this guy has the moral high ground.

Ah, you didn't mention it was BAWSTUN
"The current law allows children under 16 to attend MMA events with a parent."
They can see movies a lot worse than an MMA match under those circumstances. Probably get the rape and racism thrown in to boot.

Wow, I was expecting "children" to mean 12 and under or something crazy like that.
So this guy is afraid of someone making a racist and/or rape joke that these "children" probably make with their peers, on the internet, and hear in video games and movies all the time? It's one thing to keep the kids out because you don't want to be annoyed by some whiney teenager, but it's another thing to keep the kids out because you think they're going to be exposed to bad words. Just keep telling yourself that, Mr. Political Man.
