In my most humble opinion; I'm going to place this here. I think it speaks for itself.

Not a weapon but what would be really cool to pack would be a ladder. Then instead of kicking in doors clearing houses having zombies jump out of the cupboards at you only to then have to spend days fortifying a building that was never ment to be fortified,

You could just camp out on a roof somewhere,

    Ooooh........

    They come with foldy.

I don't know about you guys but, I'd be heading for the woods, and to hell with sleeping on the ground. I'd want one of these. Thirty pounds may seem like a lot to haul around but, I'm sure it's better than waking up with a relocated face.

And even when they use the phalanx formation, the choreographer has the front rank men raise their shields high out of the way as they stab forward. No, no, no. The shield stayed in place, and protected the man holding it, and the man to his left. Thrusts were done over the shield. Check this out: Of course, "shield wall" formations were used for centuries, so there are plenty of variations. Here's how the Romans did it: oversize shields and short stabbing swords. Or you could go the haphazard Dark Age route and emulate the Vikings. What? You can't get over the silliness of a half-dozen reenactment Vikings to imagine how a full scale battle looked? Okay, maybe the sheer scale of the 2006 Battle of Hastings reenactment will help. Hastings is one of the last great Shield Wall battles. After this, heavy cavalry -- knights -- take prominence on the early Medieval battlefield. Hmmm... I wonder how heavy cavalry would fare against zombies?
Why as I scolled upthis post from the bottom did I know it was the work of STYYGENS!?

One of those and the boar spear and you could bait / clear Z's till you get bored with it!

There are even lighter hamock rigs out there too, though they do not have that convenient platform.

I've decided against the riot armour on Z day

I tried a 3 on one stress test, and although I could withstand quite shocking levels of impact without any trouble, i was extremely vulnerable to grappling. The armour provided excellent handles

10 guys with armour shield and battons, maybe better, but on my own, risky

maybe keep the gloves, elbow and knee/shin plates for wear and tear purposes

the spade is sound though and I'm keeping it

ID:	15312I am throwing the SLR into the zombie gun mix. a proper 7.62 round that would not only kill the zombie you hit but drop the two behind it.

Accurate, reliable and heavy enough to beat the zombie to death with when you run out of bullets.

Not silenced but from that distance who has a clue where you are shooting from

I did buy a hammock with the idea that I could camp above a flood line. They are still the heavier option. But still.

Now this would be a trickier prospect to do ten feet of the ground.

    No wait.

I recently got a 2 person tented hammock for my lady and I. hadn't considered that our hippie hangout was a zombie shelter. Thanks, Internet!
