Now I'm curious. Do you dodge to dodge? Or move to make them miss?

Same result except one is reacting to strikes (Oh, he's throwing a hook, I better duck), the other is moving how you like (I'm just gonna bob and weave so he can't hit me).

This guy's awesome at slipping btw.

A demonstration about a martial art's street application that's actually taking places on the streets with non-cooperative subjects. And not a single "Foom" to be heard.

    Expanding on both.

Head movement before the strike while facing off makes it harder for the striker to find a position to punch from. Puncher can't set and so misses more often.

Head movement while the punch is coming does what it does.

It depends, it is harder to hit when you are bobbing and such, true, but it adds confidence to step inside which gives you more reach, and it also (especially when ducking under) attracts your opponent's eyes and hands down, making an overhand land more often. (Tyson is a great example).

Isn't the way he bends over at the waist bad form, opening him up to a knee in the face?

I'm taught to bend at the knees and keep my torso upright
He gives an explanation of that in the comments.
