    Hell yeah! Hell no!

The state of Taekwondo: seriously this crap HAS to stop!

This crap HAS to stop! WHY! WHY DO THEY KEEP DOING THIS!

This is one reason that it is tough for me to get new students because they think this is what I will teach them.

It is the TKD version of this:

    http://www.ktigersusa.com/ktigers.html
Korean Tigers Taekwondo Demonstration Team was established in 1990 and is the most representative Taekwondo Demonstration Team in Korea. It has participated in various international competitions such as the World Taekwondo Championship(1993, 1997, 2001), Worldcup Taekwondo Championship (1994, 1996,1997, 2000, 2002), U.S. Open Taekwondo Championship(1992, 1993, 1004, 1995, 1999), Sydney Olympics Taekwondo Demonstration, Busan Asian Games Taekwondo Demonstration, demonstrations at the World Martial Arts Championship held in Paris, France, and tours in the U.S. and Europe; thereby introducing the Korean spirit of Taekwondo to the world.

Korean Tigers have contributed greatly to the expansion of Taekwondo, and developed the Taekwondo demonstration into a form of performing arts by introducing various programs that encompass both workmanship and artistry. Deviating from the conventional demonstrations that were rigid and simple, weve expanded the demonstration into an art form that serves as a perfect visual representation of the skills and technical excellence behind the art of Taekwondo that not only the Taekwondo community can enjoy, but also the general public as well.

For an up to date list of all events that the KTigers Demonstration Team has participated in, visit www.ktigers.com.

Wow, Korean west side story !

Seriously, that looked like a demo to me, trying to attract new students? Some nice athleticism as well. If TKD helps to develop that sort of coordination what's not to like?

I didn't watch the whole thing, so no, fake strip tease isn't appropriate of course.

I stopped at the bit where the song said house and everybody made a house. I just hate that.

I found this when I was looking for some full contact body combat.

I suppose the question is does tricking have validity in Martial arts. I have some sympathy I used to do capoeira.

Sure, it shouldn't be a question. Once upon a time all MAs were about fighting.

Now we have health Tai chi sold as a martial art.
We have modern wushu, basically tricking, sold as a martial art.

Basically, people need to be educated on the differences between health/fun vs sport/self defense. That's the real problem.
