    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    What Tough Really Looks Like...

I don't shed many tears at my age, but today was an exception.

The Tough in question is the little girl, five year old Sarah Marie Alida Parries, with her father Jon.

She was also a fellow MechWarrior Online beta tester and light mech badass with short range smart missiles:

At just five years of age she played with her favorite mech, a Streak SRM-equipped Jenner because she liked locking on. Her catchphrase has been said when playing to be “Got ‘em Good!”
She died a month ago from brain cancer: http://www.sarna.net/news/an-angel-has-fallen/

What happened next was nothing other than amazing: the entire MWO community rallied around this little girl, created a custom Jenner mech in her memory, and have raised to date almost $50,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society: http://mwomercs.com/sarah

Gamers sometimes come under fire from non-gamers for being gamers. Next time a non-gamer gives you ****, tell them about little Sarah's one joy in her short life: blowing away enemy Mechs with her dad.

You got em good all right, Sarah. R.I.P.

Its certainly a tragedy that she died, and the support from the Mechwarrior community is admirable. I don't really get the "tough" part, though.

Good post, Rabbit. Very good post!
"So, yeah, Zen teachers may well insult you, work you to the bone, hit you with sticks, shout verbal abuse at you, and punch the **** out of you.
And when the ****'s been punched out of you, you might just find that you're far better-off without it." - Vieux Normand

"So in short, BJJ wins again. BJJ, and chainmail." - TheMightyMcClaw

"Needless to say, it's much easier to clear a bunch of drunk kids out of your house when you're yelling GTFO and carrying a samurai sword." - DerAuslander

"Eventually, I realized it doesn't matter what art you train, what matters is the method in which you train. Training in an alive manner, under skilled and qualified instruction, is the single most important aspect of gaining martial skill. All else is window dressing." - JNP : Saying it how it is!

That refers to her battle with brain cancer.
