Just saw this in the news today. Coda Scott was defeated in a City Council re-election bid: http://www.stwnewspress.com/local/x7...y-Council-Seat
The Scott quote at the end of the article sounds vaguely ominous: “I don’t feel defeated and I don’t plan to go away." He'll now have more free time on his hands. This may bear watching...
From the article linked above.
Any of the Stillwater crowd know of those unpopular choices the Codatoad is referring to?
Although disappointed, Scott said, Service is my calling and discipleship is my passion. Im grateful for the last years. I made some choices that were not real popular. Those choices are what my conscience and the voice of the people led me to choose.

I support Miguel Najera because Cody Scott has betrayed the citizens of Stillwater by voting for all three propositions to raise our taxes, excess taxation, further backdoor taxation, Galloway’s additional retirement bonuses and anything put in front of him. It is time for someone that will ask questions and Miguel Najera has already proven he is that type of person.
There's more to be read for those who know the back story of Coda Scott, aka Cody Scott when he was running for his seat at the table. Adam Hull still appears to be holding up a show of support for Scott.
This takes me back to the piss poor demonstration of the two back many years ago. Freshly printed certifications, wafer thin boards to break and of course, no cameras allowed. Somewhere here on the site is my review of the night.
93 page investigation thread from back in 2006

Coda hasn’t changed from when he laid this bs on a bunch of people. Shortly he started going by Cody to hide his bad reputation. He will tell you anything just to get what he wants. He tries to be a master of deceit and always tries to play the God thing instead of facing the consequences for his action. Don’t get me wrong I believe in God but he isn’t an excuse for misbehavior.

coda has a new school?
Ok. I tried to post a new thread on this guy but I guess I can't post new threads yet, or maybe it just needs approved. In any case, coda Scott is presenting himself as senior instructor of stillwater kenpo. Will wait a bit to see if the new thread shows or if I screwed up on the submission before posting the whole thing again.
Is he not a real instructor?? My kids have been going and ni don't he's a ligit one but I h Ave never taken martial arts so I don't know

He showed up in 2006 with a lot of wild claims but it was apparent to every martial artist in town that he didn't have any real skill. He mostly ran his school using religion as a marketing gimmick but he didn't have any understanding of how to run a business and it shut down a few months later. After that he started teaching at Unified Martial arts under Adam Hull. He was briefly on the city council, but the main reason he got elected is because the incumbent was incredibly unpopular at the time.

All three of these guys know how to run a good kids class. Scott's operations have always been pretty sketchy, especially if he's running things without supervision.
I'm friends with him on FB, he's posting all kinds of stuff. Pictures of his "class," signing their belt certificates, etc. It's a joke. He hasn't earned the right to sign a receipt, much less someone else's rank certificate.
