ATTN: Medical Personnel
Do words like pro-inflammatory cytokines and immune cells mean anything to you? If you have a general understanding of medical terminology, I could use your help in reviewing some studies on intermittent fasting.
Apologies in advance if this is spammy or in the wrong forum.
To be more specific, I need someone with working knowledge of terms such as:
Tumor necrosis factor alpha
And also the role they play in inflammation and the immune system.
Sounds to me like those topics are way over your head.
You've done that before.
Would you advise against direct quotations on those topics as well? eg "Medical doctors have found lowered levels of TNF during IF, which may be the underlying cause of fat lost during this time." (not that this is a direct quote, so don't take it to heart, anybody)

How exactly is posting random excerpts from random studies that you do not understand and cannot offer commentary on, helping the bullshido community?
Do you have a specific hypothesis relating to this stuff, or are you just shooting around in the dark? Did you hear about them somewhere and they are supposed to do something that you think it should or should not do?
If not, then I will answer your origional question. Nope, those mean nothing to me.

No hypothesis, just research on the effects of intermittent fasting on the body. It's really just a section of something, because I didn't realise there is so much information on the subject. I know what these terms involve in terms of how they affect the body, but I don't understand the why or how. I was hoping somebody could add some clarification to it since the weight loss aspect of IF is one of people's main focus when doing these programs.
