    Hell yeah! Hell no!
Their is no local BJJ black Belts in Macedonia. And I am not trying to right him off. I am merely pointing out the fact that some Legit Black belts have awarded a purple belt to some guy who is not deserving of one and has not trained in BJJ long enough to even be a blue belt.

I was asking the question of whether this is happening often and not just in countries like Macedonia ?

If in fact awarding rank this easy is happening with legit Black belts. and simply for business reasons ($$$) and then they try to justify it by saying that this dude is doing good for BJJ.. Do they not realize that the opposite will happen by awarding rank so easy ?

Especially in a sport like BJJ ?

    It looks like
Robert Naumoski splits his time between Australia and Macedonia sounds like he is doing more than just giving seminars in Macedonia.

They did well for their ranks at a regional competition that encompassed more than just Macedonia so I am not really seeing what your going on about.

If you look at the main Roots page
    http://www.brazilianjiujitsu.com.au/...opje-dojo.aspx
You see that Robert list himself as the instructor for Macedonia
if you click through all the other locations this is not the case.
with the exception of the Bexley Dojo so he is at least consistent in his story.

Just for shits and giggles lets look at all the Black Belts in the region
    http://www.bjjee.com/belt-rankings/
Looks to me like their is enough around to maintain the quality control of competition in the area.

My point is I do not think he should have gotten a Purple belt awarded to him after only being a blue belt for 5 months

Have you rolled with him? And are you qualified to tell?

Rank is normally based on performance, not time spent at the previous rank. Have you seen any indication that he is not up to purple belt standards?

How do you consider a country obscure?
