    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Spot The Fed, Bullshido edition (infosec and bjj)

Over the years, I've been noticing a trend - probably imagined, but I think there's something to it.

Without getting into a lot of detail, I see a growing participation in BJJ by infosec and vice versa. I find this interesting, and was curious what others thought about it, if they see the same trend.

For my part, I have taken some classes, done a bunch of self-pentesting, and I've been irregularly attending meetings of a public/private group that has lots of letters. I keep almost going to my quasi-local OWASP meetings, and almost going to the Hack Miami meetings. I keep a Kali disc with me more often than a firearm, and it gets used more often, too.

Like BJJ, my apetite is whetted, I want more, but real life, etc. I've noticed that some Bullies are into infosec professionally, and I'm betting there's a lot more of us.

So, here's your chance to raise your hand and say you play in both worlds - or don't.

I'm into judo and drinking more than I should. Over the years, I've been noticing a trend - probably imagined, but I think there's something to it...

Sounds like your drinking club has a judo problem.

Lol, mine sure does. I know a judoka that likes throwing people when he gets drunk. Not that I'm completely innocent in that department.

As for the infosec, I was really into it in high school, but since then I have lost interest, and went full developer. I still like reading about it or trying stuff out now and then, but nothing special. I have gotten lazy about security, and hopefully it will not bite me in the ass.

However, I absolutely must visit DEFCON one day.
