I think we're all missing a vital piece of information here. Specifically, what's Steven Seagal's take on the fight? Since we have yet to here from him, we can only conclude that what we saw go down on Saturday was only the first phase of what has to be the greatest martial strategy of all time. Has anyone been counting Weidman's steps? He surely only has a few left before his heart explodes... At which point Anderson will be handed the title, and we all learn that even when he loses, he wins... Or something like that.

A silly exclamation point on what was a fairly good evening of fights.

Two throughts about Silva's showboating. Old boxing , act like the punch had no effect by smiling ,dropping your hands anything to not show the effects. Silva is known for having a strong chin. Boxing translation= takes a lot of hard shots to the head. This will take it toll on a fighter in the long run. Ali anybody or any of the long time strikers? Silva's hardest punches are delivered from waiest high or hands down. My throughts are Silva was hurt early and was trying to lure Weldman into exposing himself for the knockout. Hardon, Kenner care to comment ? Joe

In Rocky I - Rocky goes the distance

In Rocky II - He Beats Apollo Creed

In Rocky III - He's been champ for so long he loses although he avenges his loss. He loses to the hungry competitor.

Now- Comes the rematch- bigger than any fight before....

Maybe they do it in Africa- Call it the 21st Century Thrillia in Manilla ?!?!?!

Lets not forget, he has a 10 fight contract.

Anderson Silva will rematch - win - and that will be that.

Sorry if this has been posted already. This interview is before the fight. At the 5 minute mark, Silva says that he wants Chris to win.

No, not hostility mate. I mean we all have our strengths, but that proselyisation as if "MY religion is the WAY" can be kind of annoying. Like Matt Hughes handing out Bibles on TUF when we're all supposed to be individuals with various backgrounds here....

Or when they go, "I'm going to win through God's will." Then when they loose, "It must have been God's will." Which one is it?!

I want to see Silva start about mid way through the weight division rankings. Not because I think they could beat him, but because it would be cool to see him clean out the weight division for a little while. It would also give Weidman the chance to defend his title successfully before Silva takes it back.

I'm saying this upfront, I'm (again) picking Weidman in the rematch.

Also Weidman deserves to defend his title against someone else (Vitor). There was no controversy, immediate rematch is silly.

Let's just start up a new "money weight" division and give Anderson the default title and go from there.
