Do not get all nostalgic for the good old days people. Tis a new age.
I had Weidman a 60 to 70% favorite. I should have stood by my estimations more boldly.
Hard to bet against 16-0 but I knew it was gonna end.
It's now up to 90%. If Anderson's hands are up next time, he will just get put on his back and beat up (or down as it may be).
No? Well what the hell happened in the first round then?
And after that- Silva got beaten in his preferred arena (standing obvsly).
That is all.

It is all about the $dollar$
The big bucks for Silva will be when he boxes. He will do all his fights to meet his contract, go make millions and perhaps then come back and whip some ass again.
Can't say I blame him, money is freedom.

Though I didn't appreciate silva clowning past the 1st round, he did land an uber nasty inside leg kick out of nowhere, that must have hurt like hell. If he'd really gone at his legs, it would well have been a different story. Look for massive leg trauma in the rematch.
The rematch is going to be a hundred times the epic of the 1st one.

The UFC loves rematches! Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva 2 is this December 28th. Kinda takes away from the women’s bantamweight title clash between judo superstar Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate doesn't it?
Is this justified?
Does anyone even care?

Smart move by Zuffa. They're making it not just a superfight, but a supercard.

Maybe Silva just wanted to add "comeback" to his bucket list.
'Course, to set that up, he would have had to pretty much throw the Weidman bout--which doesn't necessarily mean taking a dive; rather, it might mean a deliberately less-than-stellar performance (nuances, nuances). Not sure anyone's ready to make that particular accusation...
