You know what... YOU KNOW WHAT.
Weidman takes this.
Silva vs Weidman, who you got?
This is a match up I'm looking forward to. I think Silva will just be too much for Weidman to handle at this time in his career. He definitely has a good skillset for the fight though.
Who are you picking and how?
Weidman gets a take-down or two, maybe wins a round, but sooner or later I think Anderson puts his lights out. Anderson is so hard to hurt or fluster with GnP and he's super willing to stall on the ground so I don't see Chris being able to create an opening for a sub, then the next round starts on the feet and he has to be lucky all over again.
Weidman takes him to deep water, but Silva beats him with overall experience. It won't be Anderson's best performance surely.
Especially with Andre Galvao working his ground defense with him right now.

So... Silva is the black Jesus. And you can't beat Jesus cuz he's almighty and stuff.
Silva wins by love-filled-punches to the face or a decision. I'm looking forward to Boetsch's fight.
The graphic above does make him look a little like Jesus. Weidman does have a chance though I mean maybe Silva will trip and break his leg entering the cage, or maybe in the process of bashing Weidman's head in Silva will hurt his hand and maybe just maybe nah **** it Silva will win just accept that now.

From what I've seen of Weidman, he seems to like to catch opponents coming in and take them down, which isn't really going to work with Silva. He's a little too willing to stand and wait for a chance. If he wants to have a shot at winning this, he's going to have to take a page out of Sonnen's book and come blasting right out of the gate with takedowns. That said, I'm taking Silva. He knows Weidman is going to be looking for the takedown, and Weidman's standup isn't good enough to survive for long on the feet.
The mental half can't really be discounted either. Weidman's been out for a year, and his first fight back is with one of the best fighters in the world. He can talk about how confident he is all day, but the fact is that Silva has more title defenses than Weidman has fights.
