Lotus Self-Defense combines brutal elbow strikes, knee strikes, and sweeps from Muay Thai, quick hand strikes from Kenpo Karate, sweeps and throws from Judo, and wristlocks from Aikido to form one systematic and truly unique martial art.

So athiestmantis, what belt rank were you. Now what do you wish to discuss? And why should anyone care what you trained in 40 years ago?

So I found their website and had a look. Not sure what you want though. Never heard of a style based on an aquatic perennial before. The sparring vid I watched looked like point karate with a bit of muay thai flair.

If its a quiz then tell us what we get if we get the answer right. Also why would anyone give enough of a **** to put effort into this??

We need a musical. Song-and dance, tights, that sort of thing.

If we call it The Real Deal, that phrase might never show up online again. Ever.

Thanks for your research. What you discovered was correct. I studied it for 6 mos. right before I enlisted into to the Marine Corps. I have no belt from what I experienced. What I did learn was basic Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Kenpo, Thai Boxing, and how to roll front to back on all
surfaces including concrete without being hurt. Sorry for those who are so cruel and thanks to those who had the patience to check out this unique martial art.

<<check location>> I'm in YMAS, good the gloves can come off.

Here's a quick question: why the **** didn't you just tell us about lotus - instead of making everyone fetch?

Here's an idea - Introduce lotus arts, perhaps add a website, ask if anyone else has done it - and then provide a fucking opinion about it.

It this some TV kung fu bullshit where only those that work to learn about lotus are worthy to learn about it?!?!?!

what's unique about it? sounds like someone just mixed a few styles and gave it a name, nothing we have not seen before
