I was truly disappointed in Schaubs game. He considered it successful to not engage but it defeated the purpose of being there.

I did not like how Ralek basically supported him either. It would have been better (IMO), if he would of not said anything- or agreed with cyborg a little bit in the interview.

I think he overestimated the value of the crossover, at least in that match. Shinya is always game so it was only Schaub who was disappointing.

Braulio/Viera was a technical display as usual. Love those guys.

Galvao and Rafael got after it. Those guys always bring it.

So if this is the wrong place, my mistake. I apologize for my stupid and tasteless remark about McKenzie Dern. Obviously it should go without saying her grappling is light years ahead of mine. I made an off colour remark and was talking out of my ass.

    From Cyborg.
Hey, just wanted to send out a quick update
and heads up on what I am up to now that
Metamoris and the Worlds are over.

First of all let me say that, I apologize for the
frustration that you and I both feel over the
    match with Brendan Schaub.

The guy didn't want to fight. He came to do
something but, it wasn't fight with me. It was
very frustrating, but in the end he has to live
    with his performance.

Thanks to Metamoris for putting on a
great show, and I look forward to going back
and fighting with all my heart.

I also want to thank God, my fans, my team
and my family for always being there for me
and giving me the strength and the courage
    to fight no matter what.

I wonder what the match would have looked like if they were in Gi's and Cyborg could have gotten a grip. Also I find Gi matches more fun to watch than no-gi anyone else find that?

Interesting thinking about it I am more excited to watch Judo than BJJ or sub grappling.

I prefer a big through to a slick sweep any day.

Not that I can do either

I prefer gi matches, myself, though I rarely train no gi so I am biased. Even on No Gi days I sometimes wear my gi. It's comfortable. Anyway, I like seeing how people are gripping/using grips.

Oh, and thanks to whoever moved this out of YMAS, I'd considered posting here, but since it wasn't really MMA I just put it in YMAS.

"How much D did Schaub show"?
    None, it was all tuck.

Seriously, THIS match would have been better in the Gi.

Although the GI can seriously slow things down it would have been nice if he could have choked Schaub he eff out.
I am dismayed that he is a brown belt and didn't even try to engage, world class opponent or not.
