    1. For thousands of years, in some cultures bloodletting was the "cure" for any illness there was. Does that mean it is better than modern medicine?

    2. Modern science gave some insights in the mechanics of fighting and (more so) training that no one in the past ever had.

    3. Many "ancient" traditions of martial arts are not that ancient after all. Wing Tsung for example has been around for 300 years max, with first written documents in the 19th century (according to wikipedia, I'm sure other members of this forum have more exact information if you are interested).

    4. Pancration and greek wrestling are not "eastern" and still around at least 2500 years old.

Pancration. *insert lame joke about homoerotic martial arts here*

    5. Any theory has to be dropped if empirical data contradicts it.

Many of the people here had at some point fantasies about the awesome powers of wise, eastern Yoda-like masters who teach you to use your force/ki/chi/foom and thus make you badass without putting up with those pesky training-sessions.

Still, you do not see fighters winning by magic, which leads to the conclusion that it's either bullshit or irrelevant.

    Except ninjas. They're real.

Bloodletting has its place in modern medicine. No man, regardless of what ill pains him, will feel completely bad when he's making someone else bleed.

Also, I don't have a problem with what you type, but please don't caption your photos. I don't want to feel like I'm reading some faggoty Cracked article when I'm on Bullshido.

    I'm college age.

    I make fun of hipsters.

I describe myself as being "snarky."

Therefore, I have a good grasp of humor.

Please read my article "Seven Baffling Old-Timey Photos You Won't Believe Contain Animal Pornography."

Roflmao, was not expecting the Chinesse Dance movement from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. I half expected a bunch of animated toadstools to start dancing under their feet lol

Even if it were true that they were around for 1000 of years. This is no guarantee of superiority.
You are really falling into this trope right here

I suspect the troll is already gone. I love when guys show up pretending to be smarter than everyone else and then leave when they're challenged to post anything of substance.
