Nice post. I study mostly kendo and that's pretty damn far from MMA yet I somehow hang around here with limited mileage on my flame-retardant suit.

Very well written you should consider posting it to here http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...8184822AARSLqT
Also I would like to add
I have been DEAD wrong here A LOT of times. I have a tendency to make stupid statements off the cuff. Yet I am not trolled, I don't get **** on, and I don't have problems with the staff and sr. members here.
Being willing to admit that one is wrong or could be wrong seems to go rather far here. Most importantly being willing to look and examine the evidence even if it slaps you upside the face HARD will take you far here.
You don't have to be right around these parts, you just have to be intellectually honest.

Sorry, couldn't get past the style field to read your rant. Aikido? Really? Get the **** out of here while you still can, you ***** nerd-******. Your type never lasts too long around here before they get the daylights raped out of them. Don't even think about coming back before you've traded in your skirt for a pair of MMA Elite trunks and studied Never Back Down to learn how to fight.
Well, boys, schools out and the first flock of noobs have come to preach about their baddassery. Fuckers never learn. It'll be an honor making these gawky Chun bunnies and Aiki-dweebs cry over the next few months with you Bullies.
Also, East Coast Bullies better keep in mind that I get to be the man at the next NY Throwdown.

I chose to field test something I was writing on Bullshido precisely because of the site's special brand of percussive scepticism.
I knew that what I wrote would be subject to the most vigourous analysis and robust criticism; and that's what I wanted.
Any viewpoint, whether it be related to combat or any other subject, needs to be tested by the rigours of hard questioning. Otherwise it's basically just a guess.
The questions I got were completely valid ones and helped me improve what I was writing.
In a world of flim flam and hype; especially in MA, it's good that we have people willing to play Devil's Advocate.
It's also worth bearing in mind the subjects under discussion. If you promulgate a cake recipe that's useless then the worst is you've ruined someone's birthday, but if you're giving people BS in this field then at best they're going to get battered in a ring/cage and at worst stabbed to death by a mugger.

Along with Chun Bunnies and Aiki-dweebs, I forgot Tae Kwon Dorks. You know, like what that whiney bitch on Final Fu called here opponents.
Anybody remember the Final Fu? I hope not.

The nice thing about the internet is that you can turn it off and ignore it.

Great read, btw, though a bit self serving to like the fact that you talk us up.
And, for the record of the internets, I'm always nice to people!
Chaos? Panic?... Disorder??
