    Okay
1- Anybody who steps into my gym and tells me they're a public school teacher gets huge breaks from me if they need it.

2- Go watch "Waiting for Superman".

3- That's not the can of worms I'm talking about.

Ok, thank you. I'll spend time looking at both the Judo dojo and club, though now I'm starting to feel overwhelmed again because I've just been facebookified that Wrestling and Volleyball off season practices start for real next week (i.e. daily afterschool for 2 hours each). And in order to practice Wrestling, I have to walk 1.5 miles to another school to wrestle with them, then another 1.5 back for Volleyball. Ouch. Hell week(s) is coming up. Perhaps Judo will wait then.

Why the hell are you guys talking about worms. That's disgusting. Talk about... chinchillas and hedgehogs instead!

If you're a shrimp, try it. If, however, the gi will be bearing the weight of a regular-or-above-sized human, then sufficient nagewaza and newaza drills--along with decently-intense randori--will leave you with a well-ventilated Karate gi in no time at all.

    Or are Judo gi's different?
They're made of thicker material, meant to take human weight longer without ripping. They also trap more body heat, allowing you to cook in your own juices for longer during drills and randori--which won't be a problem with your shredded (AKA ventilated) karate gi.

I don't really mind getting another gi...
That's good, because if you use your Karate gi in Judo, that's what you'll be doing very, very soon.

...but I like to be thrifty when I can.
Hope you're skilled with needle and thread.

No fapping before Judo. Save your energy for the training.
