    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Muay Boran/Krabi Krabong classes in Virginia.

I live in Northern VA and just wondering if any of you know a few gyms that teach more than just Muay Thai, mostly Muay Boran (Ancient Thai boxing) and Krabi Krabong (Thai Weapon Arts).

Your trainers must have learned their Krabi Krabong and Muay Boran somewhere other than with Ajarn Chai. I remember him looking cluelessly at me when I asked him about that material in the early 90's.

I felt that there ought to be something that would allow me to utilize my Thai boxing training. I had heard of a Thai weapons art called Krabi Krabong (KK) through Ajarn Surachai "Chai" Sirisute, my Muay Thai instructor. I was finally able to get in contact with Ajarn Jason Webster, the first foreigner to graduate from the Buddhai Swan Sword Fighting Institute (The Free and Brave Buddha's Heaven) in Bangkok, Thailand.

Where can one go to learn authentic Krabi Krabong?

They can go to Thailand. There’s an old school over there. I once took Dan Inosanto and some of my students to the Krabi Krabong School and Dan studied over there. Right now, Dan takes care of the Krabi Krabong Association in the United States. .
