This **** is going to make me swear off consoles. If this gen's development costs were already so bloated that every release has to sell more copies than the population of most countries to turn a profit, how much worse is it going to be when developers are expected to make full use of even more sophisticated hardware? It's an evolutionary dead end.

If anything I would give it to the xbox because it looks like they took heat managment seriously this time.
Isn't this thing equipped with an always-on mic and camera... ostensibly for the purposes of turning it on when you come into a room?
Why yes, yes it is. If they have a wake on LAN setting or not is a valid question.

Was discussing this at werk today with one of the guys and our biggest question was around the 3D Blu-Ray function, i.e PS seems to have it and Xbox doesn't??. The announcement says the One has a blu-ray drive, but makes no mention of it being 3D. We also liked the inclusion of "4k" capable. Was expected but nice to see.
Note:I don't own a PS.
This console war will be just like the last one :
Same old same old. I just hope that this time Xbox doesn't make their controller the size of a small car, it's fucking impossible to play a fighting game on that HUGE ass controller.
Is there any word yet on wether the new playstation will be free to play online?? That one was the biggest reason that I bought most of my non-exclusive games on the ps3. I don't like having to pay 14.99 each month for a game I have already purchased.
Maybe xbox will start using this.
Any word on backward compatibility for either system?
