    "Dear goshinbudoJJ,

Thanks for registering at No BS MMA and Martial Arts! We are glad you have chosen to be a part of our community and we hope you enjoy your stay.

    All the best,
No BS MMA and Martial Arts"

Definitely welcoming, but somewhat lacking as far as forum guidelines/etiquette. Probably not a bad idea to instruct new users to introduce themselves in noobietown before posting elsewhere....
I think this may very well be a good start.

However I do suspect we will still have a large number of noobs that fall into this category
of being some asshole is googling something about his school/art/teacher comes across the bullshido thread about it. Finds out that less than flattering things are being said about it. There ego gets challenged and they most immediately and passionately defend what is said. They won't stop to read the e-mail/stickies/or other threads.

You already are, in fact the first thing I saw when I finally joined after lurking was "tell us who you are in Newbietown". Then in the stickies I saw this warning "No trolling in Newbietown, only Omega has the rights to" or something to that effect. I posted, Omega trolled, then I felt all cuddly and said "wow this is just like the locker room, I'm gonna like this place" and you know what, I'm still here.

What's with all the drama? You motherfuckers are supposed to be the leathery old salts but here you are crying like it's your first day on the school bus. Lay out the new rules, we'll follow them or we'll get a ban. Simple......

If there was a problem, yo I'll solve it. Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it.

To be fair to Rabbit and some other members, there is no established policy in this area other than previous precedent and semi-outdated stickies. They totally have a point when they say, "We'll do what you assholes want, just take the time to tell us".

The downside to Neal's Libertarian self moderating policies is that even if a consensus is reached, the staff too seldom takes the time to spell out changes in site policy.

In that respect, he and Devil have an excellent point.

Just to cement your awesomeness, can you redeliver this speech in Question-speak.

Nobody lays the smack like Q-dot, except for you. You're like that Arnel Pineda guy who sounds more like the ex-singer for Journey, than he does (these days).

    Do it mon.
