I still haven't heard from the BBC but when/if they come back I'll post it up.
I have been looking into other avenues he may have been advertising through but so far it looks like he's gone to ground.
Nice one Matt for kicking this off.

Laugh a minute this..
www.combatauthority.com is back up and running minus EVERYTHING we've questioned here.
Now his website is back up, I'm sure that will give the organisations now aware of Spencer's activities, something to look at.
That said, I wonder if Mr. Spencer has trouble remembering the name of his company?
The website states International Combat Authority
The copyright statement on that same website states International Combat Alliance
And his PayPal account reads International Combat Consultancy Ltd
So, Richard Spencer are you...
A Dr, as you once claimed ?
A Captain in the British Army, as you once claimed?
A former member of 29 Commando, as you once claimed?
Trained with Russian and Israeli Special Forces, as you once claimed?
Sources previously close to you suggest not.
We've demonstrated that the so called PhD you cited as the source of your Doctorate is nothing more than a pay per certificate paper-mill, thus entirely worthless as an academic claim
Your photograph of you standing in No. 2 dress uniform is that of an enlisted serviceman, not that of a commissioned officer, that photograph was not taken at Sandhurst and you could not have commissioned to the rank of Captain within four years having first joined as a private soldier.
No one knows you within 29 Commando, that information was obtained independently of this website. There is a person known to you here on this site who challenged you personally on your claim to have served with 29 Commando. Apparently you admitted that was bogus information.
No one here or those who know you personally believes that you ever trained with any Special Forces from any country.
Would you care to comment on the statements put forward here by people known to you, about allegations of pocketing the funding from RBL and your apparent lack of providing the appropriate certificates or indeed the work you're alleged to have offered to at least two former students of yours ?
.... Care to comment?

The words "authority" and "license" being prominent in their "courses" page--along with the number of references to US, EU and other laws and the official-looking photo ID (the "license")...all this could easily lead some readers to believe this organization is some sort of official government body.

Further information on Spencer's Company(s)
None of these companies existed prior to September (earliest) 2012. The Spencer's website however suggests the ICA has been trading since 2005. This is untrue. Additionally Spencer would have the unsuspecting believe, that he has 30+ years experience in the industry sector he pitches too, this is also entirely untrue. Spencer has just four years military service in an echelon corps of the British Army.
His martial arts background is highly questionable, and, if it's this background on which Spencer bases the foundations of his "Xa CQC Combat System" on. I can only suggest that anyone trusting their own health and safety, let alone someone you may actively be employed to protect, on the basis of the technical skills and knowledge which Spencer offers, is taking a very big risk.
The simplest question to ask of ANY supposed combative skill set, is, will it stand the test of functionality against a fully resisting opponent?
If Spencer's answer to that question is "yes"... I'd like to see and experience it first hand.

It looks like the ICA website is down again.
Interesting to see if it reappears and with what changes.
The LinkedIn page is still there.

The Twitter feed is still going too, although that hasn't been updated since the 19th April.

It's also worth pointing out that the LinkedIn page is still showing the "by invitation" course in Doncaster for June/July. Bearing in mind that we have had confirmation that the original vendor is no longer running this course for Spencer and that June has now passed, I'm not sure if the LinkedIn page is being updated either.

I have it on very reliable authority that the Doncaster course(s) are cancelled - regardless of what's being promoted in the public domain.
I am also aware from a third party, that Richard Spencer realises he can no longer credibly trade as a direct result of the research and findings brought to light within this thread.
I would like to congratulate everyone who has contributed, however, small or large that may have been, in a very respectful and results driven investigation.
We will now draft a final write-up and have that vetted and approved.

I note that Spencer's website is back to it's "Under construction" state again and the mobile version of the site appears to be only partly functional.

Some links from a google search can still access parts of the site too. Little things like this make me wonder if it's just being stripped down as a place holder because the old icacqc.com address gives me a 404, where it used to redirect.
