What exactly is old school Bujinkan? And how is it more legitimate as a system? I find it hard to believe they didn't have the silly stances and unholy focus on wrist locks, but correct me if I'm wrong.

old school bujinkan (includes doron navon)

    break break.

I'm reminded of shugyo of other ryuha. 100 contests per day, 1000 sword draws per day; compared to those events this 24 hour ninja randori is pretty tame, IMO.

The Booj in the video has a stronger/better developed guard.

    So...

In your mind that represents good training? Seriously, what was good about that?

Can you define "stronger" and "guard" in this context?

Which is really better, harder training? I wonder...

A 24 hour randori session, or 24 1-hour randori sessions.

    I would vote the latter.

I'm not in a position to say for sure, but my impression was that the wrestlers didn't really have definite rest periods; rather, they were being instructed to push themselves as hard as they could and then eat/drink/catch their breath as they needed it.
They worked out every hour on the hour and had 30-40 minutes rest in between, although most of them probably devoted some of that time to warming up for the next workout.
