Not sure what to make of this...
Hey folks. I believe a fair number of people here read the articles on Cracked.com on occasion. If you haven't been by the site lately, you may have missed an article featuring this guy:
I perused his site. Not sure if this guy is really earnest, deluded or something else entirely. What do you think?
The Cracked.com article it was linked to by a commenter: http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-people...diotic-dreams/
There's really nothing on his site to identify exactly what training he is doing there. The blog posts are kinda bland. And the shaking of the tin cup for money always turns me off.
Indeed. I didn't look at every single blog post of his, but you're right: there's no clear idea of exactly what martial arts-if any-he's studying. The site strikes me as some sort of inspirational super-infomercial. I couldn't find any place on the site where he is actually asking for money, but I'm willing to bet that he charges something for his stated ability to "coach" people into having clarity and focus for what they want out of life.
What's up! My name's Izzy. I'm a former middle school Science teacher from Los Angeles, California. I quit my job, moved to Japan and I'm trying to become a ninja.
Who says dreams aren't possible?
Some guys buy sports cars and shack up with a gold digger. Izzy here wants True Ultimate Power.
Well, at least, between him and the pro-starcaft player, i got a good laugh.
I've got a dream too, becoming a diplomat, should i creat a blog and shake the tin cup too?
In a sense yes, if you want to be a diplomat at one of the "nice" countries you better be one hell of a good fundraise and back the right horse. Oh wait thats how it works here, not to sure about your country.

The best part of the cracked article is this, "If you're wondering how close he is to achieving his goal, you'll probably have to email him and ask, because I can't find any information on his site to suggest that he actually is a ninja yet or if there's a ninja timeline in the works, but I do know that if you contact him, you should tell him it's your dream to prevent him from becoming a ninja and see if that makes his head explode."
Good advice, thanks! And yes, it works like that in Italy as well!
