    Hell yeah! Hell no!
Having children killed my hobbies (well that combined with having to work two jobs while my wife finishes her masters degree). It's only been recently that I've been able to do enough creative scheduling that I can actively train in MA again (started up with the local Judo club. LOVING it).

But back when I was young and had time and disposable income, I did community theater, especially Shakespearean stuff. Being a large and somewhat-intimidating guy I kept getting cast as authority figures (king, sheriff, bishop, heroine's father, etc). Once the kids are old enough, I'd love to get back into it, and probably get cast as Old King, Old Sheriff, heroine's grandfather, etc.

I used to collect comics (almost exclusively Marvel), knives, swords and other sharp things, and various other geeky stuff. A bunch of it now decorates my office. Students will come in to talk about the upcoming exam, and have to stop for a moment to take it all in: the matched set of gargoyles, the star trek figures (including mint-in-box Lursa and B'Etor), the MST3k Gamera mini-posters, the Mr. T bobblehead, the full-size Alaska state flag, the shrine to the Blues Brothers, and of course the bat'leth-and-dagger set hanging above my desk.

<sigh> I love my little chaos-monkeys, but sometimes I miss playing World of Warcraft with my wife, and having money to blow on comics.

I have four kids so, you will get NO sympathy from me. They limit aspects of my hobbies, but they never killed them.

    Were they hobbyists?

I have a hobby I call Secret Project Alpha, but I don't know you well enough to tell you about it.

Are you sure you're not confusing hobbies with goblins?

I could tell you that I collect clichés, but then I'd have to...

I have a hefty collection of UFC VHS tapes and comic books in my closet. I'm also starting a collection of truncheons. For Christmas, I want a Baltimore espantoon and a pair of autographed Ken Norton shorts. If my Bullshido secret Santa gets me those, I'll send some lucky nerd here one of these:

I have a lot of seasonal hobbies. The trifecta of holidays we have in the last three months of the year (Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) bring with them a ton of really great festivities the community puts on, essentially making the entire autumn season just one big party. In October I always really like going on hayrides and picking pumpkins. I find it relaxing because it sort of transports me back to a more innocent time and makes me feel like a kid again. Every ride has its own fun charm, with all their cheesy "haunted displays" you get to see as the tractor drags you along. The corn mazes are my favorite, though, because I can hide around the first corner and start masturbating to surprise the other people coming through the hedgerows.

Just added these two a couple of weeks ago:
Time Traveling Mutant from the future. He is going to appear in the next X-Men Movie Days of future past.

X-Factor Iceman. The belt he is wearing is a power inhibitor. It is suppose to negate a mutants powers. During a crossover with Thor, Malekith, in the next Thor movie, released the Casket of Ancient Winters onto the Earth. Iceman ended up absorbing the magic and lost control of his powers. They became so strong that the inhibitor basically made his power almost normal.

That was a slightly disappointing Holy Moment post I thought.

    Then, bam!

"I can hide around the first corner and start masturbating to surprise the other people coming through the hedgerows."

    You never let me down.
