Parsing is like a buffet. One takes what they like and moves on with deliberation.

It turns out the aforementioned bloody stump was in fact his big toe, that had a big hole gouged into it during grappling courtesy of someone's hangnail. Same foot as the broken one too, so now when he walks around in sandals it looks like he's been in a disagreement with a vertically challenged mob-enforcer.
There should be some kind of penalty for people who don't follow basic etiquette like trimming finger and toe nails, wearing jewellery or grappling with morning breath. No matter how good your own may be, there will always be someone who thinks the courtesies are optional.

Absolutely. I got staph TWICE from dirty mofos that didn't trim their nails or wash their rashguards before clinch.

I didn't have class today.
I did do ten minuites of burpees (including rest periods) since I was too hung over to feel comfortable lifting.
Last time I was in class I was the only one to show up so I spent the whole time working on striking technique (basically shadow boxing) and I missed the prior class cause work was crazy.
Yeah this week pretty much was tame. Can't complain though, focusing on basics and body coordination is still important and I can't say I devote as much time as I should or as we are expected to outside of class.
One of my students arranged for a sparring session in the park. Only 3 of us in total - just ain't easy getting people to show up in 30C heat with high humidity.
Two-minute rounds, mostly staff vs. double-sticks (they don't have a lot of experience with staff, so they both wanted to get more time in), but some empty hands as well. Looking at the video, I need to refine my cross - it tends to loop overhand more than is useful.
I managed to roll an ankle, so skipping capoeira class today.
I saw the video of that Chilli Pepper, you have an interesting way of moving.
Its pretty hot in London at the moment and our gym isn't airconditioned, so people are sweating a lot. During sparring last night I threw a spinning hook kick, stood in a massive puddle of sweat and did a spectacular breakfall.
