I'll hydrate an hour before working out, and maybe right after...but during? I see lots of people doing this, so I guess it's okay, but it just doesn't work for me.

    Everyone's different, I guess.
You can also keep a cool wet towel nearby...wrists, top of head back of neck, face. Drinking before training is important but so is knowing how to cool down.

Train hard but know your body, it'll tell you when you're training too hot.

    The towel method is good.

Also: when you're as bald-shaven as I am, a mickey of rubbing alcohol gives a nice, cool splash on the neck and noggin anytime you want it.

I imitated this video today...make sure you watch until 21 to see my signature move...

    2) That it does work"

Here it is, your moment of zen...

Her abs sure are cut compared to the rest of her. Liposuction is a GOOD thing.

    Hell yeah! Hell no!
    Ladies class:

Twirling 4-15, Hulog Saka, Forms 1 left and right.

Teamed up with Fuzzy for partner work:

    Abesedario 1
    Disarms

    Normal escrima class:

    Went through yellow belt syllabus

    Grips
    Stances
    Footwork
    Blocks
    Siniwali
    Estokada
Empty hand vs stick blocks and disarms

We played around with some lock flows Fuzzy had learned, which was fun. We started doing four walls, but the fatigue was getting to me to took a brief break while he partnered up with one of the guys to go through his grading syllabus.

    Mano Mano:

Bagging with single stick, 7 rounds

    2 x left hand
    2 x right hand
    1 x switching
    2 x double stick

    Mano-Mano:

I'd been getting more and more frustrated with slow progress for the last couple of weeks, so said "**** you, chronic fatigue! I wanna punch something", so decided to stay on for mano mano.

    Warmup on bags.

Padwork, working on proper technique and hip rotation:
    Jab
    Cross
    Uppercut
    Double jab, lead hook, uppercut

First time I've put MMA gloves on in years, and man it felt good! Even after gaining weight and losing serious muscle tone during my year off ill I still had decent technique and got off a few good strikes before getting tired.

Could really feel the 4 years out of training though, every strike I made or took on the pad felt like my bones were cracking! I managed to get through 30 mins before the fatigue caught up, started getting black shadows dancing around my vision and that vomity feeling you get when you're really pushing it, so sat out for the other half hour.

Putting on gloves and getting back into the groove again was such a thrill. Probably won't be in good enough shape to spar properly for a while, but it reminded me exactly why I love this sport!

    Good times :)

I once accidentally wiped my (freshly shaven) head with jow after an iron palm session.

It stung, and I got a rash.

    What? No liposuction?

Wait--that was supposed to be aimed at Fuzzy.

    Sorry.
