Making a soccer player fall down hurt is extremely easy. Hell, Zidane probably could've floored him with a punch that only looked like it hit him.

Great it works well as a sucker hit when two people are not fighting. Guess what hitting someone with anything when they are not prepared is going to do some damage. So unless you're training to instigate fights I still stand by my point.

JKD fighters compete in MMA and train using MMA sparring, so...

Its true I have hours of King of the Cage with them getting their asses beat badly. I will be honest I don't know how well they have been doing in recent years.

If JKD was just like MMA they wouldn't have to.

Who in MMA comes from JKD camps?

Dude stop. Back when NHB was the cagefight ruleset, fighters used headbutts quite successfully. Some systematically incorporated headbutts in their techniques arsenal.

So you've never headbutted anybody from Thai clinch?

I have seen a lot of NHB fighting from the early days, I can't off the top of my head think of a match that ended via headbut. A missed or badly excuted headbut sets you up for a really bad day. For "the street" I prefer high percentage maneuvers that don't **** you if you mess them up.

I like headbutts but goodlun has a point- that video showed a sucker hit to someone who wasn't defending and likely to flop at any assault, so its not a good example.

Would that change the nature of your headbutt video?

There are plenty of videos of effective headbutts in actual fights (and plenty of videos of ineffectual headbutts too) but that's not a great example.

Off the top of my head:

    More recent example: http://explosivefightvideos.com/figh...brutal-ko.html

Also Mark Coleman, The Godfather of Ground & Headbutt.

Oh, then you need to disregard A LOT of techniques. Many of which are legal in MMA.

I know, I said that too. But providing a weak example does not prove the opposite stance, that headbutts are useless in a fight. Which is what goodlun also said.
