A certain kungfu academy in Wudang sham

Don't do it...its as simple as that. I read the website, it looked perfect. I went there and everything was great - until I paid. From that day on things got worse. Forms changed on a weekly basis. I noticed I was getting less tuition daily...sometimes no tuition for 3/4 days. The taiji looked ok but there was no pushing hands, and some of the instructors were themselves students who had only been at the school for a month or so. There was no fight tuition as advertised on the internet. Just some sanda which everyone I spoke to agreed was very poor. Students were encouraged to laugh at those who did not progress, this was not good. I did not get on with one of the instructors who kept asking me to fight him in front of his kungfu class... he was in his 20's, I am 50. When I accepted his offer he declined but then took to kicking a small homeless dog which I looked after. There is one punch bag which is out of action most of the time, no weights, and sparse shelter from the rain (when it rains in Wudang it pours for days). The food consisted mainly of cabbage and poor quality rice, it was prepared in water drawn from a well situated right next to the toilets (need i say more?). The school itself is in a great location, apart from the railway, this is a couple of hundred yards away and trains run every 20 minutes 24/7, sleep was not good. There was a guy there from Brazil who told me most days how bad he thought the kungfu was, but he was still happy to leave after just 6 weeks as a 15th or 16th generation monk - that would take years in a real school. I was offered this also but declined. I asked for a refund several times, on one occassion I was told that if I went home the school would send me my money in a year or two as they had already spent it, another time I was told that refunds were not possible in China (?). I saw far too many people hobbling around with twists and torn ligaments...myself included. I had my mobile phone dissapear from my room, the following week an American had her camera and some other things taken. There are far better schools at much cheaper prices.

Sorry I will not say at this time. I still have friends there and it will not do them any favors for me to name the school. Anyone who is serious enough to travel to the PRC with a mind to train will know the school by what I have posted. I think it good advice to anyone enrolling in a Chinese school NOT to pay for a long stay in advance. Pay for a month or two at a time, and in doing so keep the school keen to keep you happy, not to just take your money and forget about teaching you good kung fu!.

other than saying that some of the instruction in china is fraudulent (whoa, really? big surprise there! </sarcasm>) your post is almost completely worthless.

either name the school, or don't post about it, cause you aren't telling us anything new unless you provide a name and website.

If you're going to study gongfu in China and your plan is either "look on the web for a school" or "pay the usual gov't officials to have a Big Name Dude show up at a gym and teach me", UR DOIN IT WRONG.

If you are injured go see a doctor or sports rehabilitation therapist/specialist.

Taiji can be a useful adjunct to proper care if well taught and practiced very mindfully as it is essentially low impact at beginner level. Wudang is probably not where you want to go for good Taiji in China. For good MA in China you will benifit from connection to a teacher, just turning up there is a lottery of trial and errror.
Unless you know of a reputable school which it sounds like you don't.

You have shuajio in your style field. Does your SJ teacher not know anyone?

OP if your not going to name the school what the f##k is the point of your post?

Take the time to check the dates of the posts to which you are replying. wudandtiger has not posted on this site in four years. I seriously doubt he is still around.
